Stay Hydrated
Dehydration leads to breakouts Reapply your SPF!
Wear a Hat
The sun is great but it is the fastest way to inflame your acne. Not only that, but if you're prone to hyperpigmentation, the heat alone can trigger acne marks that last a lot longer!
Apply Vaseline
Wear a thin layer of Vaseline or Recovery Ointment over top when on long flight to help prevent trans-epidermal water loss.
Be Careful With Masks
Long flights or layovers can be tough on your skin, especially if you’re wearing a mask. Ask us about suitable masks to use during your journey to keep your skin fresh and hydrated.
Bring Enough Product
Make sure you have enough of your skincare products, and tape the caps to prevent any mid-flight explosions. It’s better to be over-prepared than to run out of your essentials.
Bring Your Own Pillowcase and Washcloth
This simple step can prevent breakouts caused by mystery laundry soaps at your accommodation. Your skin will thank you.
Watch your Dairy Intake
Dairy is a common acne trigger. You might be on vacation, but be mindful of your dairy consumption to avoid unexpected breakouts!
Follow Your Routine Based on Time Zone
If your flight leaves at night, do your PM routine before boarding. When you arrive at your destination, switch to the routine for the current time zone. For example, if you leave at night and arrive in the morning, do your AM routine when you land.
Always Wear SPF During the Day
ALWAYS wear SPF during the day, even when flying, as UV exposure is very high at altitude!
